Graham Hartley is Groundwork's chairman.
Graham took over the role of Groundwork Chairman in September 2015. He is Managing Director of Siemens Power Generation Service, a UK-based business which services power plants. During 30 years in the engineering industry, he has worked in the UK and overseas taking senior positions in project management, service and manufacturing. He is a contributor to the Engineering Employers Federation and the Confederation of British Industry, which gives him access to both local and national policy. As part of the Siemens senior leadership team in the UK, he also actively engages with shaping and challenging the government’s energy policy. His current responsibilities include building and running a large training school, supporting young people of all backgrounds to become engineering apprentices to meet the on-going challenge of maintaining a credible modern qualified workforce.
