Cadburys Spots V Stripes Legacy programme

Posted on 06 November 2013

Greenfingers are a group of adults with learning disabilities who have recently taken over plots 64 and 65 at Abbey lane allotments near Woodseats (off camping lane).

The Greenfingers group with help from Groundwork Sheffield are going to spend two days in November clearing their new allotments and would like to ask for some support from local people who would like to volunteer to help them.
The clearing days are taking place on Thursday 7th and 14th November between 10am and 3pm (meeting at Camping Lane entrance). We will provide all tools, tea, coffee and biscuits and ask volunteers to bring a packed lunch and some sturdy shoes.
The team are a great bunch of individuals and are really looking forward to meeting you even if you can only spare 5 minutes of your time.

If you would like more information, please contact Elise Pegg on 0114 2636420 or 07500 303154 .

Groundwork Sheffield has joined Mondelez International, parent company of Cadbury, to support environmental and community projects in the Sheffield area and to recruit volunteers.
The programme builds on the impact created by the Cadbury Spots v Stripes campaign, which encouraged people all over the country to enjoy playing games in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics.
