Continuous improvement

As part of our cycle of continuous improvement we work to a number of internationally recognised standards and are constantly striving to improve our systems in order to deliver quality services for our customers.

Groundwork is dedicated to working in a professional manner, respectful of fellow staff members and the people we work with. We aim to create an environment in which personal differences and the contributions of all individuals are recognised and valued, so that they feel respected and able to give of their best.

We have developed a set of policies that help staff to improve service delivery. These include our Environmental, Equal Opportunities, Health & Safety, Learning and Development, and Minimum Standards Policies.

Investors in People (IiP)

IiP is an accredited standard that is awarded to organisations that demonstrate a commitment to their people. The Investors in People standard covers Leadership & Management, Recognition & Value, Business Planning and Continuous Improvement.

Two Ticks Disability Symbol
Awarded by Jobcentre Plus, Two Ticks shows that we have agreed to meet five commitments regarding the recruitment, employment, retention and career development of disabled people.
Environmental Management System – ISO 14001
The environment is an important part of Groundwork’s ethos. ISO 14001 environmental standard is used to help us manage our environmental performance, evaluation and improvement processes. All staff are working to maintain our positive environmental impact.
Quality Management System – ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard for quality management systems (QMS). ISO 9001 ensures a common sense approach to the management of our activities which means we can achieve consistent service delivery and customer satisfaction.

CHAS (Contractor Health & Safety Assessment Scheme)
We are CHAS approved contractors, showing we have processes in place for managing the health and safety of our construction/contracts sites.
Skills Funding Agency Qualified Provider Framework
This accreditation allows us to tender for mainstream employment and skills contracts.
Matrix Standard
The Matrix Standard is the national quality mark for all organisations delivering information, advice and guidance services. 
Armed Forces Corporate Covenant
A corporate covenant is a written and publicised voluntary pledge from businesses and charitable organisations who wish to demonstrate their concrete support for the armed forces community.
Fair Train Quality Standard for Work Experience
The Work Experience Quality Standard helps organisations ensure that their work experience is truly good quality. By adopting the standard Groundwork have committed to meeting certain criteria regarding how those on work experience are treated and how the work experience process is managed.
