Groundwork is national federated charity with a 35-year track record of helping people build better, greener lives in the places that need it most. We support community groups across the UK to improve their local environment and create better places – from sports facilities and playgrounds to wildlife areas and woodlands. We also help those furthest removed from the labour market improve their own prospects while undertaking work to benefit their community. We help people adopt greener lifestyle choices as a way of reducing bills and staying healthier.
Groundwork UK is the national body of the Groundwork Federation, supporting, championing and representing the work of Groundwork Trusts across the UK. Our trustee committee oversees and supports all aspects of our brand building, income generation and business management and reports on the activities of Groundwork UK to Groundwork’s wider Federation Board.
The Committee meets quarterly, usually in Birmingham. Members are encouraged to support other Groundwork events and provide support to the Groundwork UK chief executive and senior management team in between meetings.
