What We Do

We know that the important issues affecting our communities – jobs, health, education, young people, crime, the climate - are all connected and so our work cannot easily be placed in boxes marked 'environmental issues’, 'regeneration', 'employment' or 'health'. Our work seeks to connect all of these issues through projects and services that aim to make communities more resilient. We operate across Cheshire, western Lancashire, north Manchester and Merseyside and deliver projects in Blackpool, Chorley, Cheshire East, Cheshire West & Chester, Fylde, Halton, Knowsley, Lancaster, Liverpool, Sefton, South Ribble, St Helens, Warrington, West Lancashire, Wigan, the Wirral and Wyre.

We focus our activity on those communities where we can make most difference and help hundreds of people to change their lives each year.

We are proud to be part of a national group of charitable trusts called the Federation of Groundwork Trusts that operates across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, delivering thousands of individual projects each year – Changing Places, Changing Lives.
