Groundwork East is a City & Guilds Centre

We are a registered centre for providing City & Guilds qualifications. We currently deliver qualifications in Land-Based Studies (horticulture pathway), Practical Horticulture Skills, Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, Employability Skills and Functional Skills.

We partner with schools and education support centres/pupil referral units, training providers and colleges, local authorities and housing associations to offer young people and adults opportunities to gain knowledge and skills that will lead to further learning, training or employment. Most of the courses can be offered to young people from age 14 upwards as well as to adults.

Our unique strength is our highly successful track record of providing courses for relatively small groups of learners, related to practical, environmental projects – either in a community or a school setting. We know that linking training to such real work situations is a powerful motivator for young people and adults who may not have thrived in formal, classroom settings. Participants learn by doing and benefit hugely from seeing see how their efforts help others in their community.

If you would like to talk to us about how we can support your learners, please contact Chris Dungate, Employment Manager, on 01707 255184 or chris.dungate@groundwork.org.uk.

Below are our projects that offer participants the chance to gain a City & Guilds qualification at the moment.
