The Trust is administered by a Board of Trustees/Directors who are responsible for the overall governance of the Trust. The Board currently has 12 directors, five who represent the local authorities which make up the operational area that the Trust covers. The Chair of the Board is Councillor Ron Heatherington while Geoffrey Bennett, is the Deputy Chair. The remaining Directors are co-opted for their particular skills and experience. The Board is fully committed to the furtherance of the local communities which it serves.
The Board operates in an open and transparent manner, balancing opportunity against risk, with the objective of ensuring the long-term sustainability of the Trust.
The Trust is looking to appoint a Director / Trustee to its Board with a background in Finance and management Accounts that would provide expertise and guidance in to the Trust.

Keith Joined the Trusted a recruited Chair In 2014 as an Independant Trustee
Senior management professional with strong organisational and motivational skills. Twelve years sales and marketing experience with a number of blue chip FMCG companies, followed by ten years within the Chamber of Commerce movement. For the last twelve years, I have worked within UK Sports Governing Body, NISA.
Keith has a extensive experience of the requirements needed by both the private and public sector to survive in the present competitive global market place.
Ron joined Groundwork Greater Nottingham in May 2009 as a representative of Rushcliffe Borough Council. He became chair of the Trust in 2011.
In his role as a representative of Rushcliffe Borough Council, Ron was until recently cabinet member with responsibility for Corporate Governance
Wendy was involved with the National Association for the Welfare of Children in Hospital and served as Chairman during the 1970s. She also served as Chairman of school governors for 24 years.
Wendy has been a Local Authority elected member for 34 years in which time she has chaired the Planning Committee and Development Committee as well as being portfolio holder for Leisure.
Sue Clarson joined the board of Groundwork Greater Nottingham in May 2007 as a nominated Director representing Nottingham Development Enterprise.
She had previously been the Trust’s Company Secretary from the formation of the Trust in 1990 until December 2003
Geoff Bennett joined the Groundwork Greater Nottingham Board in November 2005 and at the same time became a member of the Audit Sub Committee.
Geoff was also a director of Greater Nottingham Partnership where, at various times, he chaired both the Audit Committee and the Appointments and Remuneration Committee.
Roscoe Joined the Trust in 2014, recruited for his expertise in HR. Roscoe is a currently a employment solicitor with his own practice
He sits on the Finance and Audit sub Group and is Chair of the HR sub group
Dave joined the board of Groundwork Greater Nottingham in July 2015 as the representative for Gedling Borough Council. He offers a wealth of experience from his current role as Director of Parks & Street Care, Waste Services, Public Protection and Neighbourhoods. Dave has recently led the project management of the new Gedling Country Park that opened in March 2015, he is a member of the Countywide Youth Offending Team Management Group and has a strong interest in supporting young people. Dave served in Nottinghamshire Police for 32 years and left the service at the rank of Chief Superintendent with operation command of the County Division.
