Health and Safety co-ordinator (Men in Sheds)

Groundwork is looking for an enthusiastic, approachable, friendly and knowledgeable health and safety professional to support a men in sheds programme operating across East Riding as well as the wider Yorkshire Men in Sheds Alliance.

This position is a part time post offering 18 hours per week. The post to be at based at one of the Men in Sheds in the following locations (Hull, Hornsea, Beverley or Goole) or home based if appropriate.

 

Purpose of Job

To enable Groundwork to fulfil its mission to build sustainable communities in areas of need through joint action, working with the community and partners to improve quality of life and bring about positive change in people’s lifestyles and the environment.

To assist the Men in Sheds programme that Groundwork is currently supporting to ensure that the sheds are compliant with all health and safety legislation, have appropriate systems and assessments in place and are safe places to be with appropriate systems in place to act autonomously once funding has ended.

The contract is a fixed term contract until 30th March 2021
