Blue Sky was set up to give paid grounds-maintenance and recycling work to people coming out of prison so that they can move successfully into long-term employment. Together, we help them break the cycle of re-offending and achieve long-term benefits for society. It’s a vital service which could only be enhanced by your strengths building successful relationships.
As an award winner we have been recognised as “an exceptional social enterprise,” by Charles Clarke MP, former Home Secretary. We have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for an outstanding professional to play a key role in executing them.
About the job
You will be an experienced job broker with a broad knowledge of offender resettlement issues to join our team. Working closely with the Employment and Training manager you will develop and manage key relationships with potential employers of ex-offenders, the probation service and Blue Sky employees themselves.
You will have had experience of working with either the Probation Service or another voluntary sector organisation working with disadvantaged groups. Experience of providing a job brokering service, vocational training, IAG and a genuine desire to help turn around lives through coaching and mentoring are essential. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
