Groundwork is the lead body for developing and implementing projects in the Colne Valley Regional Park. One of our current initiatives is to co-ordinate the Colne Valley Rural Development Forum.
Its vision is to achieve a vibrant and sustainable rural economy, including farming and forestry, underpinning the value of the countryside. You’ll contribute to that by focusing on the viability of farming and woodland management in the rural urban fringe. . Your role will be to advise landowners of the opportunities for developing their business (particularly through collaboration with others) and the funding available.
Together with a good knowledge of current issues affecting farming and/or forestry, you’ll have experience in a farming or woodland-based business or social enterprise, and skills in communicating with a range people. There will be some weekend or evening events to cover, so you should be able to work outside normal working hours on occasion.
