As an environmental regeneration charity that carries out thousands of individual projects and initiatives each year, Groundwork are changing places and changing lives across the UK. Groundwork Thames Valley provisdes management services to the Hillingdon LINk - a Local Improvement Network, set up under statute, to enable local people to play a part in shaping and improving local health and social care services.
Providing advisory, community engagement and project support in Health and Social to our Local Involvement Networks (LINks), you’ll use everything you’ve learned while handling promotions, events and presentations.
We’ll look to you to recruit, support and co-ordinate Network members, so that they can deal with anything from representing the Network on committees to conducting focus groups and checking council publications. You’ll also report activities to the line manager, promote the Network and membership through attendance at events and making presentations, and encourage participation from hard-to-reach groups.
Able to communicate clearly with everyone from the ‘man on the street’ to local councillors and the Mayor, you’ll have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills. You’ll also be adept at relating to people from different backgrounds, and able to draw on good experience of promotion activities, events and presentations.
