Your significant experience of programme management and of delivery across a wide geographical area will come to the fore when you join Groundwork as Operational Programme Manager.
We’ll look to you to lead and manage the delivery of the Southern Water Home Visits Programme within budget, and to the standards and timescales laid down in the contract. Equally importantly, you will need to build effective relationships with the client, internal colleagues, contractors and partners ensuring the co-ordinated activity of the programme.
With a £multi-million budget, you’ll have full responsibility for all operational activities relating to the management of the Home Visits Programme, from defining deliverables to delivering the work plan itself against changing needs and requirements. You’ll also manage subcontractors and review deliverables before forwarding all relevant information to the client, and implement quality assurance procedures. Customer care is critical, so you’ll need to develop processes to measure customer satisfaction and track improvements and innovation.
Your remit covers a wide geographical area, and it’s essential that you have a good background in initiating and operating multi-year programmes of work, managing complex operational programmes and geographically-spread teams, and working at senior level in regeneration, sustainable development or campaign delivery. You will also have developed systems and processes, commissioned and managed consultancy contracts and managed a significant budget.
It’s a role that will give you an exceptionally high profile.
Closing date: 12 noon on 25 August 2010.
