Blue Sky was set up to give paid grounds-maintenance and recycling work to people coming out of prison so that they can move successfully into long-term employment.  Together, we help them break the cycle of re-offending and achieve long-term benefits for society.  It’s a vital service which could only be enhanced by your strengths building successful relationships.

Home Secretary Theresa May recently visited a Blue Sky team, describing our work as “ingenious” and “fitting in exactly with what the government is trying to achieve”. We have ambitious plans for the future and are looking for an outstanding professional to play a key role in executing them.

About the job

You will be responsible for the day to day operation of all Blue Sky grounds maintenance and recycling teams, supporting in the overall delivery of all contracts and development of  sustainable business opportunities. You will work with the Senior Operations Manager to ensure that all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, including risk assessment, audits, PPE. This role will be 50% office based and 50% based on site.

About you

You will have had experience of working in the grounds maintenance sector with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety. Experience of supporting and mentoring people from disadvantaged groups and the ability to develop successful business relationships are essential. You should also be able to demonstrate excellent communication, IT and organisational skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team.
