There are many opportunities to develop your career with
Groundwork. Each Groundwork Trust is led by an Executive
Director and employs a team of professional staff. This might
include project managers, landscape architects, youth and community
workers, education and business professionals, finance and
administration staff. In addition Groundwork has a network of
regional and national offices in England, Wales and Northern
Ireland.

Most positions within Groundwork are posted on this website. Vacancies are also advertised in local and national newspapers and relevant trade magazines such as Regeneration and Renewal and New Start.
Groundwork Trusts regularly involve volunteers, especially people seeking work experience before moving into full-time paid employment. Volunteering opportunities will depend on the types of projects being run by individual Trusts. Undertaking voluntary projects can put people in a better position to obtain full-time work – in fact many of Groundwork’s existing staff began their careers with us by volunteering.
To find out what opportunities might exist for voluntary work in your area contact your local Trust.
Because all Groundwork Trusts are independent charities they all
have boards of trustees; there are 650 volunteer trustees across
the Groundwork Federation; they are integral to Groundwork’s
achievements. Trusteeship is a great way to make a
significant difference, and as a respected and responsible role, it
is also a brilliant route to developing new skills and gaining
experience.
We believe our governance is improved when trustees are recruited
with diverse skills & experience. Groundwork boards need people
like you to bring new insights, vision and support. If you
want to find out more about becoming a trustee please have a look
at the information in the support our work section.
