Non-profit, Groundwork London is looking for an experienced project manager, with excellent communication skills, to join our award-winning Green Doctor Team, working to alleviate fuel poverty in London.

Groundwork London is a community charity with a green heart that has been at the forefront of social and environmental regeneration in London for over 20 years. Each year we deliver hundreds of innovative environmental and social action projects across the capital. Our projects change places and lives for the better in some of London’s most deprived and disadvantaged neighbourhoods. This includes working with communities to make their neighbourhoods greener and more resilient to climate change, supporting long-term unemployed individuals to find work, helping young people get back into education and training, and advising residents how to save money on their energy and water needs.

Our ‘Green Doctor’ programme has helped households stay warm, stay well, save money on their household bills and reduce carbon for the last 15 years. Our support combines one-to-one energy saving advice with installations of low-cost devices to keep people warmer in their home and move them out of fuel poverty. We also support residents to make changes like switching to cheaper energy providers, alleviating energy debt and refer them for larger energy-saving retrofit schemes. Our work has an increasing health focus and we frequently refer residents to other services to improve their wellbeing. We run training events for communities and frontline workers and seek to continually improve our service and the quality and support our team provide.

As Senior Project Officer you will be one of two posts that helps manage the Green Doctor Programme, with support from the Environmental Services Operations Manager. Within this role you will directly line manage a team of Green Doctor Advisors and have your own portfolio of projects. You will oversee all aspects of including project budgets, client relationships and ensuring delivery success. You will also lead on external and internal communications for the Green Doctor Programme including managing our social media sites, website and creative promotional outputs. Additionally, there will be opportunity to contribute to continuous development and improvement of the programme.
