We believe that the school environment is one of the most influential environments children experience; after all, children spend almost half of their waking day at school. They will develop social interaction skills, make and break friendships, in short, grow as people.
We help schools develop their grounds to increase learning about health and the environment – for instance through supporting food growing; increasing physical exercise; addressing bullying through skilled design; and teaching citizenship through the development process.
Extended schools also mean that well developed playgrounds can be a resource for the wider community outside school hours. We also work with early years facilities such as Sure Start centres.
