Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is a very simple, tax effective way of donating to Groundwork.
The scheme allows you to donate on a regular basis direct from your pay. Donations are taken directly from your salary before tax is deducted and therefore your donation costs you less! Your donations are passed on directly to us on a monthly basis, so you can be sure that your support will allow us to get straight to work.
And it costs less through the payroll!

FAQs
Do I have to donate a minimum amount?
Usually the minimum donation is £1 per month, however there are no upper limits. Even a small monthly donation can add up to a significant donation over the course of a year.
What happens if I change my mind?
You can change your mind at any time. If you would like to stop your donations, change the amount, or donate to a different charity, simply contact your payroll department.
Will I receive regular updates from Groundwork?
We will acknowledge your donation, and you will be added to our mailing list to receive our newsletter. However, you can choose to remain anonymous if you wish.
What if my company doesn’t run a payroll giving scheme?
Payroll Giving is very simple to set up – speak directly to your payroll department, or contact Groundwork UK who can speak to your employer on your behalf.
What happens to my payroll giving deduction if I leave my job?
If you leave your current employer, your Payroll Giving donation will automatically stop. It is up to you to contact your payroll department at your next employer to start giving through the scheme again.
Are there any administration costs?
The payroll giving agency which administers the scheme on behalf of your employer will charge a small administration fee, on average 3-4% of your donation. Your employer may well cover these fees so that your entire donation helps to support our valuable work.
How do I sign up?
There are a few third party organisations that facilitate payroll giving. We recommend either CAF or Pennies from Heaven, although if your employer is already set up with another provider then feel free to set up through them.
