A spell of anti social behaviour and vandalism to an old and dated playground caused the residents of Walkington, East Yorkshire, to apply for funding from Community Spaces to have a new, more challenging play area built in the heart of their village. The Walkington Playing Fields Association used the £49,999 from Community Spaces to redevelop the whole area by removing the old, vandalised playground and turning two of the four tennis courts into MUGAS for teenagers, and redesigned and installed a brand new play area for the younger children.
