Pedal Power is a cycling project run by Groundwork Wrexham & Flintshire in North Wales, providing healthy and fun cycling opportunities for people with disabilities and who face barriers to participating in physical activity.
Pedal Power brings the health benefits, enjoyment and fun of cycling to people who would never have the opportunity to go on a bike ride. With specialist bikes which include side by side tandems, seated tricycles, co-pilot tandem, hand pedal, wheelchair bikes and tricycles, with all relevant safety equipment. The variety of bikes ensures that a suitable bike can be recommended depending on the individuals need.
The project aims to improve health and well being of participants by offering new opportunities and improving coordination, confidence, general well-being.
