How to contact our team nationally and around the country
Groundwork is working in partnership with WREN - a not for profit business - on a national programme to boost green infrastructure in urban areas. The Local Landscapes programme recognises that through planning and developing a network of connected open spaces, a green infrastructure can contribute to addressing the effects of climate change, encouraging biodiversity and promoting healthy lifestyles. Local Landscapes will create five open spaces, each using £22,800 funding. The 12-month programme will aim to engage with local people by offering a range of volunteering opportunities in the development and delivery of the project. The five projects will take place in Birmingham, Nottingham, Shefford, Didcot and Castleford.
Local Landscapes follows the successful WREN funded Adventure on your Doorstep programme which delivered play spaces that promoted adventure and environmental responsibility.
