Dorchester Wildlife Garden

There has been a complete change in the use of the area and the type of people who use it.

The garden is no longer a focus for anti-social behaviour and intimidation and one of the main successes of the project is breaking down local people’s conception of it as ‘no go’ area.

Wildlife has been attracted to the area with several species of butterfly visiting the garden; great tits, blue tits and Goldcrests coming to feed; and a robin nesting on the site. A problem with persistent dog fouling has also been overcome.
