ESF - Information for potential partners

Groundwork UK is developing its plans to support families in the South West through DWP's ESF contracts.

This voluntary 12 month programme is aimed at families with a history of worklessness where at least one member is claiming a working age benefit (JSA, ESA, IB, IS). Local Authorities will be the key referral route, and the aim of the provision is to move those family members volunteering for support, closer to and into work.

The general model will offer the following:

Existing providers of ‘family intervention’ services

  • Engagement
  • Assessment and action planning
  • Support and signposting
  • Commissioning ‘progress interventions’

Specialist ‘progress providers’

  • Removing barriers to progress
  • Providing ‘engagement activities’
  • Building skills and employability
  • Moving into and sustaining employment

If you are interested in working with Groundwork UK, please complete the attached EOI and return to welfaretowork@groundwork.org.uk by no later than 19th August 2011. Early submissions would be appreciated.

Once we have further developed our delivery solution we will contact everyone who has submitted an EOI to discuss their submission and how it fits into our model. We will then meet with shortlisted organisations to discuss their potential involvement and seek additional information to support the bidding process. At this stage these organisations will be required to undergo a due diligence process.

We would welcome informal chats, so please contact Graham Duxbury on 0121 236 8565.
