Groundwork in action - Nick's story

"Before I got involved with The House I was smoking, drinking and getting in trouble, spending nights in cells and not having a good time."

Nick tells how a youth centre set up by Groundwork in St Austell, Cornwall helped him turn his life around.

Changing the world - one neighbourhood at a time

Britain’s young people have certainly got talent and we help them to employ it - by giving them a voice and encouraging them to get involved in local projects, bridge generation gaps and improve the neighbourhoods where they live.

Groundwork's three decades of experience of working with young people means we understand what a powerful force for good they can be in their neighbourhoods but that they all too often feel their voices go unheard.
