Groundwork Wirral works with a wide range of partners to participate in the renaissance and regeneration of Wirral by restoring and improving derelict and degraded land.

Projects include a 6 year programme to turn a 37 hectare closed landfill site at Bidston Moss into an area of community greenspace, working with local residents to improve small sites in housing estates, establishing the Wirral Community Woodland alongside the M53 motorway, and working with local companies to improve their sites.

Groundwork Wirral's land projects also provide opportunities for trainees on the Government’s New Deal - Environment Task Force.
