Donations privacy summary

24 May 2018

When you make a donation we will record your name, email address, address, donation amount and the appeal you donated to.

If you provide the information, we will also record the reason you donated.

If you make a comment this will be recorded and displayed on the appeal page.

Your name will be displayed on the appeal page next to the donation if you tick the ‘Display my name with my donation on website’ box.

Donations are processed by RSM2000. A record of the transaction is kept for six years along with your name and address as this is required by HM Revenue & Customs to comply with Gift Aid rules. Only the first and last four digits of your card number are stored and we do not store the CV2 (security code) information.

You can read RSM 2000's privacy policy here.

To process the credit and debit card payments the information is passed to a Card Acquirer. We use World Pay. They store any credit card details in an encrypted form that meets PCI-DSS standards.

(Note: in some cases appeals will be managed through links to external tools such as Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving. In these cases please see the privacy policies that relate to those services for more information).

You can read the full details about how we process you data in the Groundwork privacy policy.
