Groundwork contributes to the Reform 'The Work and Health Programme' report

Posted on 13 July 2016

Groundwork UK CEO, Graham Duxbury has contributed to the Reform 'The Work and Health Programme: levelling the playing field' research report into the comissoning of the Work and Health Programme that launched today.

The Reform report focuses on the necessity for the Government to level the playing field and review it's procurement processes to ensure that charities and social enterprises can have a fair and realistic opportunity to both bid and win The Work and Health Programme contracts.

The Work and Health Programme, that aims to help long-term unemployed and disabled people into work, is a programme that many charities and social enterprises - including Groundwork - have the expertise and knowledge to run.

The report offers recommendations to commissioners to ensure a fair system that ultimately ensures that charities and social enterprises, that have close links to the people that will be helped by the programme, have the opportunity to run successful programmes with maximum results for beneficiaries.
