Development Manager: Groundwork East

Groundwork is the community charity with a green heart.  We believe that big global issues – the economy, the environment – have a big local impact.  Groundwork operates throughout the UK helping communities find practical solutions to the challenges they face.

Development Manager, Groundwork Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire
Part-time role:
37 hours per week
Salary: £27,835 to £33,305 per annum plus attractive benefits
Location: based in Alconbury or Luton (to be discussed at interview).  The post holder will also be expected to work periodically at the Trust’s regional offices in Hertfordshire and Essex.
Term: 2 year fixed term contract (with potential for extension)

Groundwork East is in an exciting stage of growth and change. With a turnover of £3.5 million and 70 staff, we are in a strong position to build on our achievements so far.

The Development Manager post is a crucial role working to drive forward the Trust’s fundraising and development strategies. We are seeking an ambitious individual who will develop new and maintain existing partnerships with local government, trusts and foundations, businesses, community organisations and local/regional agencies. In so doing, you will create new programmes in accordance with our business plan. You will research and understand community needs, build relationships with partners and funders, develop new project concepts and then secure funding to make these plans happen.

This is a unique opportunity to use your fundraising, project development and relationship management expertise to ensure positive change in the most deprived areas in the east.  Based at the Groundwork offices in Alconbury or Luton you will focus in particular on developing projects and fundraising in Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, and Hertfordshire.

Closing date: midday, Monday 6 August 2018
Interview date: Monday 13 August 2018, Luton
