Salary: £18,617. Based in Wigan with frequent travel to the Rivington area.
36.25 hours per week. Project funded for 18 months.
Rivington Terraced Gardens in Chorley is one of the region's most popular and picturesque heritage sites.
Groundwork, supported by United Utilities, the Country Houses Foundation and others is managing the £4million project to conserve and revitalise the gardens.
We are offering an exciting opportunity to work as a Development Officer, helping to deliver the Activity Plan for this Heritage Lottery project and taking joint ownership of its goals and outcomes. This includes supporting the delivery of a diverse and accessible range of events and volunteering opportunities within the Gardens.
Applicants will have experience of working with local communities to deliver conservation or heritage activities and an ability to communicate and motivate local people and community groups.
Experience of working in heritage sensitive locations will be advantageous. Experience of effective partnership working and the ability to manage a number of differing and complex activities within an overall project objective would also be advantageous.
