Digital Engagement Intern

Location: Trafford Ecology Park, Trafford Park, Manchester
12 month contract, full-time
Salary £16,835

An exciting opportunity to explore, develop, deliver and embed an approach to digital marketing, in particular social media, which will engage, involve and recruit young people in our programmes.

Groundwork in Manchester has a well established youth programme which relies on “traditional” means of engagement, such as outreach and hard copy marketing.   We now want to ramp up our activity so that more young people can take advantage of the services we offer.  We want to reach new audiences who haven’t previously engaged with Groundwork and have very little / no awareness of how to get involved.  We know that digital media is key to this growth. The primary role of the Digital Engagement Intern will be to explore, develop, deliver and embed an approach to digital marketing, in particular social media, which will engage, involve and recruit young people in our programmes, with a particular focus on our new high profile youth social action programmes, #ManchesterYouthCan and #Climate4Change.

The postholder will also have the opportunity to work closely with our Communities Manager and Marketing and Communications Coordinator to support the development of an integrated approach to digital engagement across our services, giving Groundwork access to new audiences, specifically  community and business sectors, which will deliver increased awareness of our services and ultimately generate new business leads.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Graduate to support the growth of a social enterprise and to gain hands on experience working with marketing and non-marketing professionals in a high performance but supportive and friendly environment.

If you believe you can make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
