Fundraising Officer, Groundwork East
Full-time role: 37 hours per week
Salary: £22,643 to £25,982 per annum plus attractive benefits
Location: based in Luton and/or Hatfield. The post holder will also be expected to work periodically at the Trust’s regional offices in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk.
Term: 1 year fixed term contract (with potential for extension).
Groundwork East has over 30 years’ experience in delivering bespoke projects that use the environment as a catalyst for building a more sustainable future. As our activities develop and our area of activity expands we are seeking a Fundraising Officer to play a vital role in helping us achieve our aims by securing funding for our annual income targets. You will in particular focus on charitable trusts and foundation grants; you’ll research and identify suitable income sources before making approaches to the relevant funders and partners.
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser with a successful track record in at least two of the following areas: identifying funding opportunities; securing major grant funding; and winning statutory contract tenders. With highly relevant experience you will be able to get to grips with complex information quickly and easily. You will also be a real team player with excellent written and spoken English. The role will involve preparing and writing fundraising proposals, including large bids such as Lottery applications.
Based at the Groundwork office at Luton and/or Hatfield the successful candidate will also be expected to work periodically at the Trust’s regional offices in Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.
This is a unique opportunity to use your fundraising and bid writing expertise to enable positive change in the most deprived areas in the east of England. We’ll make sure you’re given all the support and guidance you need and you will have the opportunity to help drive forward an inspirational organisation making a real and positive difference to local communities.
