1 role based in Macclesfield and 1 role based in Crewe.

Salary: £16,867 - £21,049

Building Better Opportunities multi-agency Big Lottery Fund / ESF funded programme, ‘New Leaf’ is an innovative project, targeting individuals furthest away from the labour market in the Cheshire and Warrington Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) area, to help them in their journey towards employment.

Led by Warrington-based Golden Gates Housing Trust, working in partnership with 30 other organisations, New Leaf will support 2,800 individuals over a three year period, providing a tailored service, giving individual support and direction.

Groundwork are one of the partners in ‘New Leaf’ and we employ a team of Professional Mentors working in the Cheshire East area.  We're looking for self-motivated, dynamic individuals to work on this Big Lottery/ESF Building Better Opportunities programme in Crewe and Macclesfield.

Mentors will be expected to recruit and manage a caseload of individuals who have multiple and complex needs working closely with partner agencies and local stakeholders.    Ideally mentors will have experience of working with agencies to support people and move them into a positive destination. The key requirements and essential experience of the mentoring post includes:  Information Advice and Guidance, Experience of working with hard to reach individuals and Knowledge and experience of Welfare to Work and Employment related contracts.  You will also have excellent communication skills and be well organised.
