Groundwork has secured funding through Sport England’s Tackling Inactivity programme to work with individuals from deprived communities who are currently not engaging in any form of physical activity. This three year project is focused on motivating and inspiring individuals to become more active and to embed physical activity in their everyday lifestyle.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who enjoys a challenge and would be a great role model to others. With good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop relationships quickly and effectively both strategically and operationally. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to people’s lives.
This project is led by Groundwork Cheshire Lancashire and Merseyside working with Inspiring Healthy Lifestyles, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service, North West Ambulance Service, Police and Armed Forces. They will help referred individuals and provide them with positive health and wellbeing activities and experiences.
The Co-ordinator will be responsible for designing and delivering specialist sessions to increase an individual’s physical activity levels along with up skilling Groundwork staff and the wider partnership working mainly in Wigan and Leigh.
