Caroline Noble is our new Assistant Landscape Architect - she tells us why she’s passionate about her work and what has inspired her latest creative venture...
Before working for Groundwork I produced films for charities. I also worked at the BBC in World News and later for Gardener’s World.
I have just finished my Masters in Landscape Architecture (passed with Merit - congratulations Caroline!) and am the co-director of a community organisation in London doing urban greening projects. I really believe that people’s lives can be improved by creating better environments and I’m looking forward to playing a role in making that happen.
At the moment I am currently working on a tender for Groundwork UK’s and Learning through Landscapes Project in Jaywick and a sensory garden for a secure mental health unit.
When I’m taking a break from creating better places, my favourite place to be is in my garden with a cup of tea in hand (my guilty pleasure)!
Finally, something you may not know about me is that I am writing a screenplay, inspired by the disproportionate amount of time I have spent backpacking my way around the world! My most recent trip was to Kangaroo Valley, Australia where I heard my first lyre bird. They are amazing mimics!
