Join us to celebrate and investigate the River Lea in Luton.
From 2-6pm on Friday 6 October, we'll be running free activities and giving away goodies at The Big Count in Wardown Park, Luton.
The event will give you a taster of all the river-related projects that are going on in and around Luton to improve and protect the River Lea. As well as learning how to take water samples to test the quality and quantity of the water in the Lea, you can join new projects and have your say about others.
Plus, we'll be handing out free goody bags and creating a river collage (with your help!) - so there's something for everyone.

The Big Count is an event run by the Luton Lea Catchment Partnership, a group of individuals and organisations united to improve the River Lea. From its sources in Houghton Regis, Lewsey and Leagrave through Luton to Luton Hoo lakes, the partnership works with local people to make this happen.
We are developing a plan to pin-point the problems facing the River Lea in the area and to propose actions for tackling them. Explore the website to find out about this plan, our projects, events and how you can get involved.
