Corporate Volunteering

Volunteering with Groundwork is a great way for your company and employees to support communities in London. Each of our projects is built by and for those most in need, and delivers visible impact - whether that’s supporting a young person into sustainable employment, transforming an estate, or improving an urban green space.

By taking part in team building challenges, or sharing their professional skills with people who need them, your employees can make a huge impact on our work. What’s more, our volunteering opportunities can help build morale, strengthen team relations and contribute to the health and wellbeing of your staff.

Practical Challenge Days

On our practical challenge days we offer activities that will get your team outdoors, doing physical tasks and tackling obstacles together. From improving school grounds, to building planters, improving wildlife habitat, or upcycling furniture, and much more.

Skills Based Volunteering

Tap into your staff expertise to support our projects. Your employees put their professional skills to use in support of those who need them most. Whatever your talent, we can apply it - from marketing, finance or business planning, to photography, or designing a community garden.

Bespoke Volunteering

We can also offer bespoke volunteering events, tailored to meet your specific needs. Optional extras can include a short film of the day, photos and a case study to promote the great work you’ve done internally.

Your Impact

Last year we were delighted that over 800 employees from 15 companies took part in our corporate volunteering days. Thanks to our corporate partners including; NEWS UK, Direct Line, Time Warner, Phillips 66, Accenture, GVA, Skanska and PWC we have been able to generate over £425,000 additional income, directly benefitting the communities in which we work.

This short film documents the day Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer joined forces with Groundwork for an employee volunteering day, using materials reclaimed from the nearby London 2012 Olympic village to create a new community garden in Hackney Wick.
