APPLY FOR UP TO £4,000 FOR YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY PROJECT
Tesco's Bags of Help scheme is changing! We are expanding to fund a wider range of projects - and you can now apply for a grant all year round. In order to give Tesco customers a regular say on where their money goes, the Bags of Help scheme is now open all year round for applications from community organisations. In addition, the money raised by the 5p bag charge in Tesco stores will now be opened up to a greater range of projects. The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community.
Three community projects in each local area will be voted on by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, with projects changing every other month. Following the vote, the project that received the most votes in its area will receive a grant of up to £4,000, second place receiving up to £2,000 and third place up to £1,000. Bags of Help is available to a wide range of community groups and organisations across England, Wales and Scotland. The scheme will fund projects that benefit the local community. The new application and guidance notes, as well as further information can be found here.
If you require further support with your application or have any questions about the new scheme - don't hesitate to get in touch with Alex Forrester at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop us an email at email@example.com.
