Apply for a Tesco Bags of Help Centenary Grant

To mark their Centenary, Tesco has announced a Tesco Bags of Help Centenary Grant Fund for 2019.

How do the Centenary Grants work?

Bags of Help Centenary Grants are now open for applications.

Three community projects in each region will be voted on by customers in Tesco stores throughout the UK, in July/August and November/December 2019. We are looking for wider-reaching community projects which bring benefits to communities across UK regions.

London has been split into two regions, North and South.

Project themes

For this first round, projects will need to address a ‘Health and Wellbeing’ theme, and projects focusing on cancer, heart disease and diabetes will be prioritised.

However the final round in November/December will be open to applications for a variety of themes.

How much funding is available?

Following the vote, the project that receives the most votes in the voting region will receive a grant of up to £25,000, second place receiving up to £15,000 and third place up to £10,000.

When will voting take place?

The customer vote will take place in Tesco stores throughout the UK, in July/August and again with a second round in November/December 2019.

The closing date for the first round is the end of April 2019.
