Building Better Opportunities or BBO is a project that aims to move people closer to employment. We work closely with people who are out of work and help guide them towards their goal. This can be through volunteering opportunities, training, work experience and a variety of courses and mentoring sessions. This project gives people the tools to get where they want to be. Working Progress offers rounded support to participants, which could vary from confidence building and mentoring, to CV writing and money advice; all of which focuses on the needs of the individual.
How many people will take part? We are aiming to support 720 people during the lifetime of the project, and have 16 Commsortia Members who are delivering that support. See the full list below.
How long will the project run? The project officially started in October 2016 and is due to be completed by September 2019.
Who is funding the project? The project is part of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme and is funded by European Social Fund with match funding from Big Lottery.
