Groundwork North Yorkshire is part of the Groundwork federation
Groundwork aim to create a sense of community pride and provide facilities for communities and enterprises to grow. The regeneration and improvement of transport facilities has done just this. Regenerating neglected transport links has increased the capacity of local communities to trade, as well as allowing more people to come to the area to use local facilities.
Since the Scarborough to Whitby railtrack closed in 1965, it has been maintained as an informal path and permissive bridleway
