The Loop @ Pembury is Hackney’s own re-use hub. Working with Peabody, Groundwork London has set up this re-use hub on Pembury Estate to collect, store, repair and sell pre-loved furniture, while also offering training, employment and volunteering opportunities for estate residents.
We offer a collection service for furniture. Rather than leave unwanted furniture and appliances outside as waste, residents can call us and donate their items to the Loop. We take the collected items to our workshop, where we repair or repurpose them before selling them in our shop at affordable prices. This lets people, who might not otherwise be able to afford it, furnish their homes with quality furniture.
All the money raised is reinvested in the workshop or in training opportunities for Pembury residents, who can learn how to restore items into quality secondhand furniture. If you enjoy fixing things or upcycling, why not come and volunteer with us?If you want more information about arranging a collection, visiting the shop, volunteering or learning to restore furniture, contact Stephen:

One of five reuse hubs set up through the Repurpose project with funding from the European Commission's LIFE+ Programme, The Loop @ Pembury takes a new approach to encouraging re-use and preventing fly-tipping. The Loop @ Pembury is funded by Groundwork London, Peabody, Hackney Council and Children in Need.
