Jarrow Hall Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum

Jarrow Hall: Anglo-Saxon Farm, Village and Bede Museum

Discover the incredible world of Anglo-Saxon Northumbria and the extraordinary life of the Venerable Bede, the father of English history at Jarrow Hall.

Groundwork South Tyneside and Newcastle manages the former Bede's World site now renamed 'Jarrow Hall' on behalf of South Tyneside Council.

Jarrow Hall features at its heart a museum dedicated to exploring the fascinating life and legacy of Bede, an extensive, working Anglo-Saxon demonstration farm and reconstructed Anglo-Saxon dwellings.

Open every weekend from 7th January before our full launch in April 2017, Jarrow Hall is suitable for visitors of all ages.
