Schools

Groundwork Wakefield can provide exciting and creative environmental activities to bring the curriculum to life both inside and outside the classroom.
Our experienced Community Engagement Officers and Youth Workers can work with both primary and secondary pupils to actively engage them in our exciting projects, curriculum related activities and our Alternative Curriculum program.

Pupils benefit from engaging with new learning experiences, and gain a better understanding of the environment and their local community.

Some of the activities we are currently delivering in schools across Wakefield include:

  • Establishing School Gardening Gangs and Growing Clubs
  • Achievement Coaches
  • Conservation work with our Countryside Park Rangers
  • Getting Sporty with Sported at Whitwood
