Groundwork Wales' Greencare programme provides grounds maintenance and space improvement services to community groups, social landlords and charities. Our aim is to provide quality work at reasonable prices to help improve outdoor spaces, while offering work and volunteering placements to people seeking to improve their skills and employment prospects.
Greencare has also secured an ongoing grounds maintenance contract from a leading social landlord and is now responsible for the grounds maintenance for 28 housing estates within the Caerphilly County Borough.
We offer opportunities for volunteers to assist us on community work to grow the pride they have in their local area and surrounding green spaces.
Some of the services we have provided during the last year include: communal grounds maintenance, ground clearing, timber and steel fence erection, tree planting, raised bed building, minor and major tree work (felling, crown reduction via climbing and with the use of mobile elevated work platforms), Japanese Knotweed control and eradication, bollard installation, pin kerbing installation, turf laying, hedge row planting, car park installation, allotment and growing space installation.
