BBO Breakthrough

Woking with Coventry Citizen's Advice, Groundwork West Midlands is delivering the Building Better Opportunities Breakthrough (BBO) Programme funded by the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund.

The project helps out of work people across Coventry to tackle the financial barriers they face to gaining and sustaining employment, to accessing education and training, and taking a full and active role in their local community.

We provide the following services on a one to one mentoring basis:

  • Financial capability training which involves: budget plans, food budget, energy saving advice (changing supplier and making savings where possible) and debt support (i.e. a repayment plan if possible).
  • Employability training such as: CV writing, Job search training and interview training. We will also support them to enrol on training courses or to apply for and obtain employment if they are ready.

Over 100 people in the city have benefitted from the project during 2017.
