The Black Country Click Start Project aims to provide a better undsertanding of IT and financial confidence. It specifically targets anyone who is unemployed, on benefits or having difficulty finding work due to a lack of skills or experience.
The free project, which is delivered in Birmingham & Coventry and the Black Country, is part of the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) program, and funded by the Big Lottery Fund and European Social Fund (ESF).
Some of the areas Click Start can help with are:
- Priority payments
- Budgeting and Banking
- Shopping on a budget
- Energy Efficiency
- Awareness around illegal money leading
- Digital Literacy: setting up e-mail accounts, accessing the internet, accessing and paying bills online.
- Job Searching
- Employability Skills: Interview techniques, Conflict Management, Customer Service skills, CV building and the possibility of a guaranteed interview with potential employers
Through a series of workshops and 1-1-sessions, we work with people facing complex issues and barries to employment to build resilience, independence and skills with the aim of finding lasting, sustainable employment.
