Our Inclusive Spaces campaign will take place this July with a Week of Action from 23rd-29th.
We aim to connect our 100 Young Green Ambassadors with community groups across the UK and will support them to collaborate on local events, raising the profile of our local parks and green spaces and encouraging intergenerational community action.

Why are we doing this? We've worked closely with a dedicated Youth Advisory Board and our network of Young Green Ambassadors, based all over the country, to roll out our campaign locally.
After focus groups, consultations, and meetings, our young people concluded that there are far too many barriers to 16 - 24 year olds engaging in their local communities and with their local green spaces.Overcoming barriers to engagement
Groundwork's Neighbourhood Fieldwork Survey found that 69% of 16 – 24 year olds say they would volunteer but only 7% actually did so, despite deep concerns they have for their local environment.
We also discovered 96% of Friends of Parks Groups want to engage with local young people but 81% are unsure of how to do so.
Inclusive Spaces will bridge this gap by bringing young people and community groups together, supporting them to take action together in their neighbourhoods.
