We've joined forces with National Youth Agency and others to support the Heritage Lottery Fund's pioneering new Kick The Dust programme.
Kick the Dust is a £10 million grants programme for ambitious youth-focused projects that transform how heritage organisations engage with young people aged 11-25. Young people named the initiative, hoping to stir things up, kick up a storm, inspire change and ensure heritage is relevant to young people’s lives.
Twelve grants of between £500,000 and £1m have been allocated to projects across the UK that will involve more young people in heritage. Plans include a ‘Dragons’ Den’-style heritage funding project in Leicester; an England-wide plan to connect young people from less affluent areas with their local green spaces; and a scheme inviting young people to create training for museum staff.
Throughout this week we're inviting our young people to offer their insights via social media. Find us on Twitter on @Groundwrk_Youth and take part in our online polls:
