Earlier this year we recruited 100 passionate, perceptive, committed young people from across the UK to form our network of Young Green Ambassadors. After successfully building a Youth Advisory Board of 13 amazing young people, hosting our first Youth Summit in Birmingham, and bringing our team of young changemakers together, we're almost ready to launch our national campaign! Our young people have been hard at work at local and national level putting together campaign ideas, supporting our fundraising initiatives such as Groundwork Pride of Plate, and representing us at events and conferences across the country, as well as taking part in steering groups with our partners.
We're now ready to recruit another round of young people to support our national campaign and help us reach as many community groups as possible, online and offline. Whether you're in school, college, employment, or currently looking for your next challenge, we want to hear from you!
Our next recruitment drive launches on Wednesday 10th January 2018 - pop the date in your diary and don't say we didn't warn you!
What do you get in return? Well, our Young Green Ambassadors will be offered training opportunities from the Groundwork Youth team and other professionals, and will work closely with our local community partners, Groundwork’s trusts across the UK, and the Groundwork Youth Advisory Board.
Are you enthusiastic about social media? Always on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram? Do you want to create blogs, vlogs, and short films? Do you want to support a big summer campaign with other like-minded people? Do you want to attend events across the country and even organise your own? Looking for a CV boost? Or a way to make some new friends?
Look no further! Groundwork Youth needs you!
Check back in the new year for more information and be sure to keep an eye out for when the link to our latest application form goes live.
In the meantime, (re)familiarise yourself with our role descriptions and what we would like our Young Green Ambassadors to do during their time in post.
And don't forget to follow us on Twitter and 'like' us on Facebook to stay in the loop!
