Applications are now closed for Summer Sports Activities Fund YLF (Young Londoners Fund).

Summer Sports Activities Fund will provide funding for projects from sports clubs, youth centres and community organisations which provide activities for ‘at-risk’ young Londoners during the school summer holidays (July-August).


Summer Sports Activities Priorities

To succeed, your project must address one or more of the following priorities:

  • Give opportunities for ‘at-risk’ young people to take part in a sporting activity
  • Improve trust between young people through sport activities
  • Divert young people from potentially committing crime

How much funding is available?

Grants of £5,000 to £10,000 are available and the delivery of projects should be completed within six weeks (minimum four weeks), and must be completed within the School Summer Holidays.


When can I apply?

The application period for the 2019 round has now closed.

We will let you know w/c 3rd June 2019 if your application has been successful, in which case you will be invited for interview.

About Summer Sports Activities Fund

Summer Sports Activities Fund is part of the Mayor of London’s wider £45 million Young Londoners Fund. The Fund is aimed at helping children and young people to fulfil their potential, particularly those at risk of getting caught up in crime.

Young Londoners Fund is supporting a range of education, sport, cultural and other activities for young Londoners. The fund will see £30 million made available for projects in local communities. The remaining £15 million is being invested to expand existing projects funded by City Hall that supports young Londoners.
