About the role
We are now recruiting for an experienced Chef / Chef De Partie, to work in a growing café in the heart of Winlaton Mill. We pride ourselves in using local produce from around the area.
Café Shrub is an enthusiastic, dynamic and friendly place to be.
You will be responsible to deliver freshly made to order meals during service for the café to a high standard. Also be able to undertake a varied list of food preparation, including baking for the kitchen on a daily basis and take full responsibility and accountability for your shift in the Head Chef’s absence. Additionally, ensuring that all policies and procedures are implemented.
About you
The ideal candidate must have experience of working in a cooking to order fresh food and baking skills. You’ll be passionate about the café culture and creating a great customer experience. Most importantly, you’ll be keen to get stuck in with a great team. Having a good work ethic is essential.
This position could be suitable for, but not restricted to;
- A café chef/cook looking for a new challenge in a busy but fun kitchen.
- A restaurant chef/cook who wants to experience café culture with great hours.
- Someone with an interest in vegan/vegetarian/gluten free menus (Ottolenghi-style food) and café culture.
